Conference Topics and Scope

Today's transport system is undergoing an early period of a major change. New ideas are substituting the accustomed ones and the latest mobile technologies are entering our everyday lives. At the moment no one is surprised at the concept of the smart city, advanced and eco-friendly transportation systems, or autonomous vehicles. Developing technologies have already affected most areas of our lives, thus a greater attention given to it is not surprising. Four major themes have been selected for the conference:

Vehicle Engineering

New approach toward vehicles poses challenges for researchers and engineers.  Diverse smart solutions are to change not only vehicle design, but also expectations imposed by human as a technology user. Human as a user should be a focal point in selecting best decisions. We invite scientists and engineers to join the discussion and present their vision of future vehicles and today‘s technological advancements in their reports.

Traffic flows, safety, mobility and control

The changing transport technology also alters the entire transport infrastructure, its maintenance, control, and the concept of security. The transitional period in which conventional vehicles and vehicles equipped with latest technologies, becomes substantially important in this case.  Upon the major change in vehicles, a mobility concept is to be changed as well, including challenges of traffic safety and traffic flow control. We invite scientists and engineers to join the discussion and present their new approach in regards to challenges of traffic flow modelling and control, as well as tendencies of traffic safety, and solutions for mobility improvement.

Logistics and multimodal transport

Organization of transport flows; freight and passenger mobility whilst optimizing price, time and environmental impact is a challenge of modern logistics. Operations at transport and logistics companies, issues of safety and security, new circumstances affecting the carriage of goods and passengers – all contribute to the need for scientific research. Management of transport flows in a local, regional and international transport corridor is often interfered with logistics and political problems and establishes favourable conditions for developing transport and logistics. We invite scientists to join the discussion and present their research results, assessments in reference to such themes as green, integrated and urban logistics.  Also, considerations and presentations of research results on the IT and ITS are welcome.

Autonomous solutions for transport system

Automation of vehicles requires systems that help the self-moving vehicle to make the right and timely decisions. These systems must analyse great amounts of data on meteorological conditions, behaviour patterns of traffic participants, route planning and implementation, technical state of a vehicle and much more. Different data synthesis is required for decision-making, and artificial intelligence systems become irreplaceable here. We invite specialists of diverse fields to join the discussion on systems and technologies that assess the interactions between road users and different vehicles on different scales and take decisions that are necessary for management process.
